OsInfo type

Basic information about the operating system an Endpoint is running.

Fields

Field Name Description
platform - OsPlatform! An enum describing which platform this operating system is.
name - String! The name of the operating system. Windows example: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro. macOS example: macOS.
version - String! The version of the installed operating system. Windows example: 10.0.22631. macOS example: 14.4.
versionMajor - Int! The major version of the installed operating system. Windows example: 10. macOS example: 14.
versionMinor - Int! The minor version of the installed operating system. Windows example: 0. macOS example: 4.
versionPatch - Int! The patch revision of the installed operating system. Windows example: 0. macOS example: 0.
build - String! The build or release number of the operating system. Windows example: 22631. macOS example: 23E214.
installDate - Time The time the operating system was installed (not available on macOS).
productType - OsProductType Machine role of the installed operating system: desktop/workstation, server, or Active Directory domain controller.
windowsEdition - WindowsEdition Edition of the installed Windows operating system, decoded from the Windows product (SKU) value reported by the endpoint. Null on non-Windows platforms.
linuxDistribution - LinuxDistribution Linux distribution running on the endpoint.
linuxOsRelease - [EnvironmentVariable!]! Linux OS release environment variables. Found at /etc/os-release on Linux.
linuxPackageManager - LinuxPackageManager Linux Distribution specific package manager (DPKG/RPM).

  • Endpoint type: A Windows, macOS, or Linux computer that runs the Wartiva endpoint agent and is enrolled with an organization.
