SocketType enum

Type of network socket.

Values

Enum Value Description

GENERIC

 Generic socket type when protocol is unknown or not mapped.

TCP

 TCP stream sockets.

UDP

 UDP datagram sockets.

UNIX

 UNIX domain sockets for local IPC.

NDRV

 Legacy macOS/iOS network driver sockets (NDRV) for kernel network interfaces.

KERNEVENT

 macOS kernel event sockets (KERNEVENT) delivering system network events.

KERNCTL

 macOS kernel control sockets (KERNCTL) for IOKit/BPF/NECP control planes.

VSOCK

 VMware/Hypervisor VSOCK for host-guest communication over AF_VSOCK.
