A built-in network probe that gathers data about a Device or Network: host discovery, TCP and UDP port scans, and protocol-specific probes such as HTTP, TLS, SSH, SMB, DNS, SNMP, UPnP, mDNS, and DHCP. Every organization has the same sensor catalog, returned by sensors; SensorScope objects decide which sensors may run against which devices. A sensor runs in one or more zones: LAN sensors run directly on an endpoint, while SAE and PUBLIC sensors run through a SensorRequest. The network services a sensor discovers are recorded as Service objects that name the sensor that last found them.
