Whether a certificate has been revoked by the authority that issued it.
The three states are deliberately distinct: a certificate that could not be checked is not the same as one checked and found good, so a boolean would report an unreachable authority as a clean certificate. Reference: RFC 5280 - Certificate Revocation List (CRL) Profile
