IpNetwork type

IP address and network mask belonging to a network interface or device.

Fields

Field Name Description
cidr - String! A string representing an IP network in CIDR notation like "192.0.2.1/24" or "2001:db8::/48" as defined in RFC 4632 and RFC 4291. If the mask is not in the canonical form, it returns the string which consists of an IP address, followed by a slash character and a mask expressed as hexadecimal form with no punctuation like "198.51.100.0/c000ff00".
ip - String! The IP address portion of the cidr.
ipAsBytes16 - Binary! The IP address portion of the cidr represented as a 16-byte binary value.
network - String! The masked network portion of the CIDR e.g.: a cidr value of "192.0.2.1/24" will show "192.0.2.0" here.
is6 - Boolean! Reports if this is an IPv6 address.
is4 - Boolean! Reports if this is an IPv4 address.
isPublic - Boolean! Reports if this network is public Internet routable IP address. Specifically it checks if the network is not a private address according to RFC 1918 (IPv4 addresses) and RFC 4193 (IPv6 addresses).
isPrivate - Boolean! Reports if this network is a private address according to RFC 1918 (IPv4 addresses) and RFC 4193 (IPv6 addresses).
isGlobalUnicast - Boolean! Reports whether ip is a global unicast address. It returns true for IPv6 addresses which fall outside of the current IANA-allocated 2000::/3 global unicast space, with the exception of the link-local address space. It also returns true even if ip is in the IPv4 private address space or IPv6 unique local address space. It returns false for the zero address. See RFC 1122, RFC 4291, and RFC 4632
isInterfaceLocalMulticast - Boolean! Reports whether ip is an IPv6 interface-local multicast address.
isLinkLocalMulticast - Boolean! Reports whether ip is a link-local multicast address.
isLinkLocalUnicast - Boolean! Reports whether ip is a link-local unicast address.
is4In6 - Boolean! Reports whether ip is an IPv4-mapped IPv6 address.
isLoopback - Boolean! Reports whether ip is a loopback address.
isMulticast - Boolean! Reports whether ip is a multicast address.
