# `TargetExpression` type

TargetExpression represents an nftables expression that leverages existing kernel target modules (often from iptables/xtables compatibility). Targets define an action to be taken on a packet, potentially modifying it or controlling its flow, beyond basic verdicts like accept or drop.

## Fields

| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| `name` - [`String!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/string.html) | The name of the xtables target module to invoke (e.g., "LOG", "MASQUERADE", "REDIRECT"). |
| `rev` - [`Uint32!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/uint32.html) | The revision number of the xtables target module. Different revisions might have different parameter structures. |
| `xtablesInfo` - [`XtablesInformation`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/xtables-information.html) | The specific configuration parameters for the xtables target module, whose structure depends on the 'name' and 'rev' fields. |

## Used by

- [`ChainExpression`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-expression.html) union: A union of all possible nftables chain expression types.
