# `SensorZone` enum

Describes where a sensor is deployed.

## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `LAN` | A sensor that is processed directly on an Endpoint using Endpoint compute. |
| `SAE` | Secure Application Encapsulation (SAE) provides a secure path for transporting application layer (TCP or UDP) packet payloads between private networks. SAE is used to offload network sensor compute from the Endpoint to a hosted system. |
| `PUBLIC` | A sensor that connects to public IP addresses over the Internet from the vendor system. |
| `UNKNOWN` | Unknown or unrecognized zone. |
