# `RevocationStatus` enum

Whether a certificate has been revoked by the authority that issued it.

The three states are deliberately distinct: a certificate that could not be checked is not the same as one checked and found good, so a boolean would report an unreachable authority as a clean certificate. Reference: [RFC 5280 - Certificate Revocation List (CRL) Profile](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc5280#section-5)

## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `GOOD` | A revocation source was consulted and the certificate was not listed. |
| `REVOKED` | A revocation source listed the certificate as revoked. Treat the certificate as untrustworthy. |
| `UNKNOWN` | No revocation source could be consulted: none was published, none was reachable, or the data failed verification. An ordinary outcome, not an error, and common for private certificate authorities. |

## Used by

- [`TLS`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/tls.html) type: Reports on SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security).
