# `ProcessStatus` enum

Represents the status of a process or task.

## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `RUNNING` | The process is running or runnable (on the run queue). |
| `BLOCKED` | The process is waiting on a short, uninterruptible operation (usually I/O). |
| `IDLE` | The process is sleeping for more than about 20 seconds. |
| `LOCK` | The process is waiting to acquire a lock. |
| `SLEEP` | The process is waiting for a short, interruptible operation. |
| `STOP` | The process is stopped. |
| `WAIT` | The process is an idle interrupt thread (or paging in pre-2.6.xx Linux). |
| `ZOMBIE` | The process is defunct (terminated but not reaped by its parent). |
