# `PayloadOperationType` enum

PayloadOperationType defines whether the payload expression will load data from or write data to a packet.

## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `LOAD` | Load data from the packet payload into a register. |
| `WRITE` | Write data from a register into the packet payload. |

## Used by

- [`PayloadExpression`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/payload-expression.html) type: PayloadExpression represents an nftables expression for accessing and manipulating packet payload data at various layers (link, network, transport).
