# `FTP` type

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard communication protocol used for the transfer of computer files from a server to a client on a computer network. FTP is built on a client–server model architecture using separate control and data connections between the client and the server

| `tlsSupport` - [`Boolean!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/boolean.html) | Whether an FTPS handshake was observed, which is what upgrades a cleartext FTP control channel. False when the server refused AUTH TLS, when it accepted and then failed to negotiate, and when it was never asked — so false alone is not proof that credentials and file listings cross the network in the clear. |
| `tls` - [`TLS`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/tls.html) | Details of the FTPS connection the server negotiated, including the certificate chain it presented and whether that chain verifies. Null when no TLS handshake was observed. |
