# `Chain` type

Represents an nftables chain, which is a named list of rules that are executed in order. Chains can be attached to network hooks or called from other chains.

## Fields

| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| `name` - [`String!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/string.html) | The unique name of the chain within its parent table. |
| `chainHook` - [`ChainHook`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-hook.html) | Configuration for the network hook this chain is attached to, if it's a base chain. Null if it's a regular chain (not attached to a hook directly). |
| `priority` - [`ChainPriority`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-priority.html) | The priority of this chain when multiple chains are attached to the same hook. Lower numbers mean higher priority (executed earlier). |
| `chainType` - [`ChainType!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-type.html) | The type of the chain, indicating its fundamental role (e.g., filter, nat). |
| `chainPolicy` - [`ChainPolicy`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-policy.html) | The default policy for this chain if no rule matches (e.g., accept, drop). Applicable only to base chains. |
| `device` - [`String!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/string.html) | The network device name this chain is bound to, if applicable (e.g., for 'netdev' family). |
| `rules` - [`[ChainRule!]`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-rule.html) | A list of rules contained within this chain, executed sequentially. |
| `health` - [`ChainHealth!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/chain-health.html) | Health status of the chain. |
