# `AuthenticationType` enum

Authentication and Encryption Types for Server Message Block (SMB)

## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `NTLM` | NTLM over a Server Message Block (SMB) transport is a common use of NTLM authentication and encryption |
| `KERBEROS` | Kerberos is a network authentication protocol. It is designed to provide strong authentication for client/server applications by using secret-key cryptography |
| `UNSET` | Unset used when data was not available and/or no authentication nor encryption is set |
| `UNKNOWN` | Type of authentication and/or encryption is not set |
