# `AllowWindowsInkWorkspace` enum

GPO policy: "Allow Windows Ink Workspace" under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates

> Windows Components > Windows Ink Workspace. Controls access to the Windows Ink Workspace, which provides a hub for pen and ink features. Registry: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsInkWorkspace:AllowWindowsInkWorkspace (REG_DWORD). CIS Benchmark (L1) recommends value 1 (On, but disallow access above lock screen). ## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `DISABLED` | Windows Ink Workspace disabled (registry value 0). The Ink Workspace feature is turned off and not accessible to users. |
| `ON_NO_INK_BELOW_LOCK` | Windows Ink Workspace enabled but not accessible from the lock screen (registry value 1). The Ink Workspace is available when logged in, but ink features are not accessible above the lock screen. CIS L1 recommended value. |
| `ON` | Windows Ink Workspace fully enabled (registry value 2). The Ink Workspace is accessible both when logged in and from the lock screen. |
