# `ADBackup` enum

GPO policy: "Choose how BitLocker-protected fixed drives can be recovered" — Active Directory backup enablement option. Controls whether BitLocker recovery information for fixed data drives is automatically backed up to Active Directory Domain Services. Registry: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\FVE:FDVActiveDirectoryBackup (REG_DWORD). ## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `DISABLED` | Active Directory backup of BitLocker information disabled (registry value 0). Recovery information for fixed data drives is not stored in AD DS. |
| `ENABLED` | Active Directory backup of BitLocker information enabled (registry value 1). Recovery information for fixed data drives is automatically stored in AD DS. |
