# `AceType` enum

The semantic class of an Access Control Entry, harmonized across Windows and Darwin ACL models.

## Values

| Enum Value | Description |
|---|---|
| `ACCESS_ALLOWED` | The entry grants the listed permissions to its subject. |
| `ACCESS_DENIED` | The entry denies the listed permissions to its subject; denies override allows. |
| `SYSTEM_AUDIT` | The entry triggers an audit log record when the listed permissions are exercised. |
| `SYSTEM_MANDATORY_LABEL` | Windows integrity-level (mandatory access control) entry. Has no analogue on Darwin. |
| `UNKNOWN` | An entry whose ACE type byte did not match any known value. |
