# `application` query

Retrieves an [Application](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/application.html) by its graph object id: an organization-wide software product identity that ties together every install of that product across the organization's endpoints. Its `installs` field lists each [ApplicationInstall](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/application-install.html); find applications with [graphSearch](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/queries/graph-search.html) on the APPLICATION object type. Returns a not-found error when no object has the id, and an error when the id belongs to another object type.

Returns an [`ApplicationPayload!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/application-payload.html)
