# `issueUpdate` mutation

Moves an [Issue](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/issue.html) to a new triage state and optionally records a note. Allowed transitions are OPEN to IN_PROGRESS and back, OPEN or IN_PROGRESS to IGNORED, and IGNORED back to OPEN or IN_PROGRESS. Moving to IGNORED requires the ignore details, such as the reason and an optional expiry after which the issue can reopen. RESOLVED is set only by policy evaluation and cannot be requested. Requesting the current state with a note updates only the note. The object's `issuesSummary` reflects the change shortly afterwards rather than immediately.

## Response

Returns an [`IssuesUpdatePayload!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/issues-update-payload.html)

## Arguments

| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| `orgId` - [`OrganizationId!`](https://wartiva.com/api-docs/types/organization-id.html) | The Organization identifier. |
